Amal Mowafy is currently the Chief Technical Advisor (CTA) at the International Labour Organization (ILO) managing the ILO/Canada flagship project on Decent Jobs for Egypt’s Young People (DJEP) where she works with the Government and the people of Egypt to deliver results at national, governorate and community policy and administration levels through interventions that tackle the supply, intermediation, and demand aspects of the labour market to achieve Decent Work (Sustainable Development Goal 8) for all.
Ms. Mowafy is an Egyptian development professional with 20 years of experience.Ms. Mowafy has completed course work for a PhD in Public Administration at Cairo University/Faculty of Economics and Political Science. She has two degrees with highest honours from the American University in Cairo: an MPA with a specialization in International Organizations (on merit scholarship) and B.A. in Economics.
