Sarah Chawky is a consultant at Innovety, an innovation management consulting firm, that specializes in innovation and digital consulting and strategy. Innovety’s portfolio is comprised of different types of organizations from non-governmental and governmental institutions to the private sector, in a variety of industries. Innovety’s aim is to empower companies, individuals, and organizations to unleash their maximum potential, and develop innovative approaches to excel in their respective fields.
Sarah is also the Assistant Regional ICT4D (Information and Communication Technologies for Development) officer at Terre des homes (Tdh) for the MENA region. Tdh is an international non-governmental Swiss organization that aims to support children who are in conflict with the law, who are migrants, those who suffer from health issues, as well as victims of any child protection matter including child marriage, and child labor. Her role is to support the regional ICT4D officer in setting the ICT empowered strategy for the different MENA Tdh countries (Jordan, Lebanon, Egypt, Palestine), as well as teach the teams about innovation, and guide them through their journey in developing and capitalizing on innovative ICT solutions.
Originally from Alexandria, Sarah moved to Cairo to pursue her B.A. in Economics at the American University in Cairo, where she also minored in Psychology. Sarah’s roles allow her to continuously explore new experiences, and deal with individuals from different backgrounds and age groups. Her favorite part is seeing how her work is impacting people in real-life. And, although she enjoys the challenging nature of corporate-related projects, she is mostly passionate about the development field, especially when the end beneficiaries are children.
Sarah aspires to continue taking part in stimulating, and diversified projects, where she can contribute to a greater sustainable impact for vulnerable groups, and empowering them through entrepreneurship, innovation, and social development.
