Mrs. El-Leithy is an Adolescent and Youth Officer in UNICEF. She has a Master’s degree in Political Science major in Professional Development from the America University in Cairo (AUC).
She has over than 21 years of professional work experience in government, private sector, and in the development field working in National and International NGOs. 14 years of which serving in the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) to support children, adolescents and youth development and civic participation. This involves ensuring the inclusion of young people at large, with special focus on the most marginalized groups, including young people in impoverished areas and young people with disabilities, in non-formal education programs focusing on life and employability skills development and citizenship education. This is in close collaboration with different government partners including the Ministry of Youth and Sports (MoYS) and Ministry of Education (MoE), NGOs and private sector.
